At the root of all paranormal phenomena there may likely to be a unique form of energy called Zero Point Energy (ZPE).  This ZPE is radically different than the energies were currently familiar with.  For one, it’s endothermic, meaning that when it does work it doesn’t produce heat as a by-product of the second law of thermodynamics. This ZPE may be similar to the way “The Force” is described in the Star Wars movies as it might possibly interpenetrate and bind everything together.

All entertainment aside, ZPE could eventually run the world free of nuclear, coal, gas, oil and even hydroelectric sources.  It may allow us to travel through space superluminally  (faster-than-light), and perhaps even travel in time, besides powering all of our earthly vehicles without pollution.  It might even allow us to heal ourselves in way unimaginable, perhaps even reversing entropy and atrophy in living systems.

On the darker side, ZPE offers levels of power that dwarf even thermonuclear power, so you can imagine the potential threat offered by the wrong application of such energy.

Then again, your knife and fork can be used to eat your meal or to attack the person sitting next to you.  My book, Aliens Above, Ghosts Below: Explorations of the Unknown, delves into ZPE as much as possible in such a non-academic setting.

In my opinion, ZPE has the real potential of rending war obsolete as it will be far too threatening given its societal destructive potential, even at the tactical level.  Once this genie is out of the bottle and misused or abused, there may not even be a bottle to put it back in.  And then we ask ourselves why our government wants to disinform the public on such matters.  Would you give a child a thermonuclear weapon to see what they do with it?

We can use ZPE to travel to the stars and create a quasi-Utopian society like in Star Trek, or we can totally annihilate ourselves overnight as a race of beings.  The choice is up to us, all of us.  This is NOT science fiction.  For more details, read my book Aliens Above, Ghosts Below: Explorations of the Unknown.
